FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will transportation be provided?
Yes, transportation will be provided to each of our venue locations. Please check back closer to the wedding date for the full schedule, including pickup times and locations.
Rideshare services such as Uber, Lyft, and Waymo are readily available throughout San Francisco, should you prefer to arrange your own transportation.
Please note that parking at both Flood Mansion and Bimbo’s 365 Club is limited and can be quite challenging, so we do not recommend driving yourselves.
What is the dress code?
We kindly request formal black tie attire for our celebration. Gentlemen, please wear a tuxedo or dark suit with a tie or bow tie. Ladies, floor-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses are perfect. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!
May I bring my children?
We kindly request that this be an adults-only event, with the exception of children of selected family members. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!
May I bring a guest?
We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend, as we are unable to accommodate additional guests. If you are invited to bring a guest, it will be clearly indicated on your invitation.
What is the weather expected to be like during the wedding weekend?
San Francisco in the winter is typically chilly, with temperatures ranging from the mid-40s to mid-60s, and occasional fog or light rain. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a warm coat to ensure your comfort. A coat check will be available at Bimbo's 365 Club.
Will the celebration take place indoors or outdoors?
The celebration will take place indoors, providing a cozy escape from the winter chill. Join us for an elegant and warm evening of celebration—no need to worry about the weather!

Activities
San Francisco is famous for its natural beauty and we hope you have a chance to explore while you’re in town. For first timers, you may want to check out a few of our more “touristy” attractions (see below). If you’ve been here before, we’ve created maps of our favorite neighborhoods in the city.
So you want to be a tourist...
Depending on your hotel location, you can start a cable car ride in Nob Hill (going down) or from the Wharf (going up). Either way, head to Buena Vista before or after for an Irish coffee.
Take a walk from Fisherman’s Wharf toward the Ferry Building on Embarcadero Street. You’ll pass the famous sea lion pier (Shelby hates this, but most people get a kick out of it).
The Ferry Building itself is beautiful and you can look straight down Market Street into the heart of the Financial District from its entrance. Inside, you’ll find a million shops and restaurants. We recommend Gott’s (burgers), Hog Island Oyster Company, and Acme Bread.
Download the Waymo app and take a driverless car ride home – eek!
Pac Heights
This is our current neighborhood!
Fillmore Street between Jackson and Post is full of cute shops and restaurants.
Shelby's favorite city walk is between Alta Plaza park and the Lyon Street steps. Take Pacific there and Broadway back (or vice versa) for maximum mansion watching. It's a little hilly but the reward of panoramic Bay views is worth it! The top of the Lyon Street steps is also a good place to drop into the Presidio if you're looking for a longer walk - head down Lover's Lane trail toward the Presidio Green and then drop down into Tunnel Tops park.
Post Street between Fillmore and Webster is also the heart of Japantown. Matt tagged two great ramen shops on the map below - if you try both, let him know your winner. It's a highly contentious rivalry.
Marina
Spend time with the Marina girls and boys near the city's waterfront.
For a wholesome day, plan a visit to the Fort Mason farmer's market on Sunday and walk down the Marina Green toward Crissy Field and Fort Point. You can stop at the Philz coffee truck along the way.
If you really want to experience Marina "culture" (term used loosely), shop around on Union or Chestnut before heading to Balboa Cafe for martinis and then Little Original Joe's for people watching with a side of pasta.
Golden Gate Park
GGP is 20% larger than Central Park and truly magical.
We recommend a stroll down JFK highway, which is closed to cars, toward the De Young museum. There's a free lookout tower in the museum with panoramic views of the city. Other highlights: Conservatory of Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden, the buffalo pasture, If you make it pretty deep into the park, you can walk or bike over to Hook Fish (fish tacos) or Palm City (hoagies) for a great bite.
